On the morning of September 29, HOAVAVA, together with the BOM Foundation of Korea, visited the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) for a meeting and working session.

During the working session, the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the joint organization of an art exhibition in Hanoi. This cooperation is part of the continued implementation of the previously signed tripartite MOU among VAVA, HOAVAVA, and the BOM Foundation. It opens up new opportunities to connect and mobilize human and social resources between Vietnam and Korea in support of victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam.

Representing HOAVAVA, Chairman Kim Dae Jong personally led the delegation to visit VAVA. Representing VAVA were Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, Chairman of the Central Committee; Major General Do Hong Lam, Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Committee; and representatives from relevant departments. From the BOM Foundation, Chairman Son Ha Eun and Yoo Hye Sook of Laguna Beach Group also attended the meeting.

Prior to the working session, Chairman Nguyen Huu Chinh welcomed the delegation from HOAVAVA and the BOM Foundation and expressed his appreciation for the organizations’ interest and cooperation in activities supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam.

Chairman Nguyen Huu Chinh emphasized that this meeting marked the first official working session with an international delegation visiting the VAVA Central Committee since the successful conclusion of the 6th National Congress of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, which established the Association’s term for 2026–2031. He also noted that signing a cooperation MOU immediately following the National Congress carries significance in further strengthening cooperation between VAVA and international organizations and overseas partners in caring for and supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Building on the cooperation established among VAVA, HOAVAVA, and the BOM Foundation, HOAVAVA will continue working with the BOM Foundation to implement activities supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam.

During the visit and working session, the BOM Foundation donated VND 180 million to the fund for supporting Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin. This donation is one of the concrete activities demonstrating the BOM Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam, and is expected to contribute to securing resources for victim care and support activities.

For HOAVAVA, this support represents a meaningful milestone in the ongoing process of maintaining connections and cooperation with the BOM Foundation, VAVA, and partners in both Vietnam and Korea. Through this cooperation, HOAVAVA aims to establish a stronger foundation for expanding social resources dedicated to supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the future.

HOAVAVA and Chairman Kim Dae Jong, who serve as a bridge connecting organizations, businesses, and communities in Vietnam and Korea, will continue to cooperate with the BOM Foundation, connect various social resources, and expand cooperation and participation so that more businesses, organizations, and individuals can join efforts to support victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

One of the specific areas of cooperation agreed upon by the organizations is the joint organization of the “Hanoi Art Exhibition.” The exhibition aims to promote cultural and artistic exchange between Vietnam and Korea, with a portion of the exhibition proceeds to be used to support victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam.

The exhibition is scheduled to take place from December 11 to 13, 2026, at the Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel, located at 117 Tran Duy Hung Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. The opening ceremony is scheduled for December 11.

Under the agreement, the BOM Foundation will take the lead in planning the exhibition, developing its content, coordinating personnel, operating and managing the event overall. The Foundation will also arrange the necessary expenses for venue rental, artwork transportation, promotion, the opening ceremony, and other event-related activities.

VAVA will participate as the official partner of the event, supporting promotional activities and facilitating connections with key figures and invited guests. VAVA will also receive the portion of the exhibition proceeds allocated for victim support and use the funds, in accordance with relevant regulations, for activities supporting and caring for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Throughout the implementation of the event, HOAVAVA will continue to serve as a bridge for connection and cooperation. HOAVAVA will connect with and encourage businesses to participate in the exhibition, thereby strengthening cooperation among partners in Vietnam and Korea and helping mobilize greater social resources through the exhibition for activities supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

In addition to the joint organization of the Hanoi Art Exhibition, during the visit, Chairman Kim Dae Jong also exchanged ideas and discussed several directions for expanding activities supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the future.

One of the ideas discussed was the development of spaces and activities with long-term value, such as a museum related to Agent Orange/Dioxin. This is currently a direction being discussed and considered by relevant organizations and stakeholders, and it is an idea that may be further developed through continued discussions in the future.

By maintaining cooperation and expanding its network, HOAVAVA will continue to strengthen its role as a bridge between Vietnam and Korea and work closely with the BOM Foundation, VAVA, as well as businesses, organizations, and individuals who share a commitment to supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Through the continued implementation of cooperation among the organizations, it is expected that cultural and artistic exchanges between Vietnam and Korea will be further promoted, while more social resources can be connected and mobilized to support victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam.
