On September 24, 2026, the International Foundation for Supporting Agent Orange Victims (HOAVAVA), in cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA HCM) and relevant authorities and organizations in Tan Phu Ward, organized the “Sharing Love” Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 event and presented gifts to 20 families of Agent Orange victims facing difficult circumstances in the ward.

The event was attended by Mr. Kim Dae Jong, Chairman of the International Foundation for Supporting Agent Orange Victims (HOAVAVA); Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Phu Ward and Chairman of the Tan Phu Ward Veterans Association; and Colonel Do Mai Khanh, External Relations Officer of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, along with representatives and members of the Tan Phu Ward Veterans Association, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Phu Ward, and HOAVAVA members and representatives.

As part of the event, Mid-Autumn Festival gifts were presented to 20 families of Agent Orange victims facing difficult circumstances. Among the beneficiaries were victims who have suffered severe effects from Agent Orange and families facing significant difficulties in their daily lives and requiring attention and support from the community.
The gifts included items purchased and prepared directly by HOAVAVA, as well as donated items contributed by HOAVAVA members. The gifts consisted of practical items such as ginseng, rice, vitamins, snacks and confectionery, beverages, clothing, and other daily necessities, together with cash support for each family. The voluntary participation and contributions of HOAVAVA and its members helped provide practical assistance and convey warmth and care to Agent Orange victim families facing difficult circumstances during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The event also received support from organizations and individuals in Korea. Mr. Park Young-sel, Director of the Daegu Office, donated fire-resistant blankets on behalf of organizations and businesses in the Daegu region. The blankets were prepared for distribution to the families at the event.

At the event, Mr. Kim Dae Jong, Chairman of HOAVAVA, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, the relevant authorities and organizations of Tan Phu Ward, and the HOAVAVA members who participated in and supported the event.
Speaking about the significance of the activity, Mr. Kim Dae Jong shared that in Korea, Chuseok, also known as “Hangawi,” is one of the country’s major traditional holidays, when families come together to share love and prosperity. Similarly, Vietnam’s Tết Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival) is a beautiful traditional occasion associated with children, families, and a sense of community.
Based on these shared values, HOAVAVA expressed its hope that although the gifts may be modest, they carry the care and warm sentiments of its members and will bring a small measure of joy and comfort to the 20 families of Agent Orange victims during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Mr. Kim Dae Jong also affirmed that HOAVAVA will continue to accompany, care for, and support families of Agent Orange victims, while strengthening connections among individuals, organizations, and community resources to carry out practical support activities in the future.

The “Sharing Love” Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 event was one of HOAVAVA’s community activities aimed at providing direct support to Agent Orange victims and families facing difficult circumstances. The cooperation of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, relevant authorities and organizations in Tan Phu Ward, HOAVAVA members, and supporting organizations and individuals in Vietnam and Korea helped bring practical gifts and encouragement to the 20 families.
HOAVAVA sincerely thanks the relevant authorities and organizations of Tan Phu Ward, the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, HOAVAVA members, and organizations and individual supporters in Vietnam and Korea for joining and supporting the event. HOAVAVA will continue to connect resources from Vietnam and abroad, carry out practical support activities, and provide ongoing care and support to Agent Orange victims and families facing difficult circumstances.
