On the morning of June 22, 2026, a delegation from HOAVAVA, led by Chairman Kim Dae Jong, together with representatives from the BOM Foundation of Korea, visited and held a working meeting with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin to discuss future directions for cooperation and practical support programs for Agent Orange victims.

Established with the mission of connecting international resources to support Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange, HOAVAVA has worked closely with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin for many years, carrying out various humanitarian activities. Through these efforts, HOAVAVA has contributed to spreading the spirit of sharing and solidarity while raising international awareness of the severity and long-lasting consequences of the Agent Orange tragedy in Vietnam.

During the meeting, Major General, Professor, People's Doctor and People's Teacher Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, introduced the Association's key activities and achievements in supporting Agent Orange victims in Ho Chi Minh City. He also expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the continuous support and dedication demonstrated by Chairman Kim Dae Jong and HOAVAVA over the years. In addition, he conveyed his sincere thanks to Ms. Son Ha Eun, Chairwoman of the BOM Foundation, for her compassion and concern for Vietnamese Agent Orange victims.

Following Major General Nguyen Hong Son's presentation, Chairman Kim Dae Jong of HOAVAVA provided additional explanations to the representatives of the BOM Foundation regarding the long-term impacts of the Agent Orange tragedy in Vietnam and the historical background of Agent Orange.

This meeting marked a continuation of the previous exchanges and cooperation among the three organizations, aiming to further strengthen their partnership, deepen their friendship, and jointly implement meaningful humanitarian initiatives for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the future.

In particular, in commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Agent Orange/Dioxin Disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 – August 10, 2026) and the 21st Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (2005–2026), HOAVAVA and the BOM Foundation agreed to join the Association in a series of upcoming commemorative and support programs.

Planned activities include an international scientific conference, exhibitions of photographs and documents on the Agent Orange tragedy and its victims, cultural exchange programs, visits and support for disadvantaged victim families, the “Walk for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin 2026” program, and various humanitarian activities involving volunteers and international friends.

This visit once again reaffirmed HOAVAVA's role in connecting and spreading humanitarian messages to the international community, encouraging more organizations and individuals both in Vietnam and abroad to join the journey of supporting Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Understanding is the beginning of sharing. HOAVAVA will continue its efforts to serve as a bridge connecting compassionate hearts, working together to ease the pain of Agent Orange victims and bring hope to them and their families.
