On the morning of December 19, 2024 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) in coordination with the National Humanitarian Information Portal and the MB Charity Fund launched a fundraising program for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin with the theme "Intact springs - Tet for victims of Agent Orange".
The Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange and Dioxin in coordination with the MB application commemorated 1961, the year the Agent Orange disaster began, and called for donations through account 1961. Information about donations will be transparently disclosed through the website Thiennguyen.app and the MB Charity mobile application. Major General Do Hong Lam, Permanent Vice President of the Central Association for Victims of Agent Orange and Dioxin in Vietnam, emphasized the following.
"We pledge that all donations collected through this campaign will be used transparently to support medical care, recovery, home repairs, and livelihood support for the victims. In particular, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 (the year of the Ox), we will send donations and gifts to the victims to help them overcome their difficulties."
At this launching ceremony, the charity organization "Drinking water for the source" donated 180 million VND to help victims of Agent Orange.
