On May 22, 2026, the charity program “Warm Hearts with Bom Foundation” was held in Ho Chi Minh City in an atmosphere filled with emotion and meaning. The event was organized under the leadership and partnership of HOAVAVA and Bom Foundation (Republic of Korea) to support Agent Orange/dioxin victims and families facing difficult circumstances in Vietnam.
The program was held to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange tragedy in Vietnam (1961–2026), serving as a meaningful occasion to reflect on the pain of war that continues to leave deep scars on generations of Vietnamese people to this day. More than just a charitable activity, the event also conveyed messages of humanity, sharing, and international solidarity and responsibility between Vietnam and Korea.
The event was attended by representatives of Vietnamese government agencies and related departments, military generals, war veterans, the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, representatives and leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Tan Son Nhat Ward, as well as presidents of Korean associations in Vietnam, representatives of various associations and businesses, and members of the Korean community in Vietnam.
In particular, Chairman Kim Dae Jong of HOAVAVA has continuously stood alongside Vietnam for more than 32 years through various charitable and community support activities. Deeply empathizing with the pain and suffering left behind by war, he has consistently connected Korean organizations, businesses, and warm-hearted individuals with Vietnam in order to support Agent Orange victims and disadvantaged communities.
Through this program, HOAVAVA also expressed its sincere gratitude to Chairwoman Son Ha Eun of Bom Foundation for personally visiting Vietnam, joining the journey of sharing love and compassion, and choosing Vietnam as a place for meaningful humanitarian activities. The participation and support of Bom Foundation went beyond material assistance, representing heartfelt care, empathy beyond borders, and a profound spirit of humanity.
At this event, Bom Foundation provided the following support:
• 250 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin
• 150 million VND to underprivileged families in the Tan Son Nhat area
• Approximately 100 million VND in support for Korean associations in Vietnam
In addition, Korean businesses and the Korean community in Ho Chi Minh City also joined together to practice the values of sharing and social responsibility for those in need.
The program also created many touching moments through direct exchanges and conversations with Agent Orange victims. Their powerful stories of resilience in overcoming the lasting effects of war deeply moved attendees and reminded everyone of the importance of peace, empathy, and love among people.
For HOAVAVA, the journey alongside Vietnam is not merely a short-term volunteer activity, but a long-term commitment to connecting communities, spreading humanitarian values, and strengthening the bridge of friendship between Vietnam and Korea through sincere and meaningful actions.
Moving forward, HOAVAVA will continue to stand together with Vietnamese society through warm solidarity and sharing, carrying on its efforts to bring hope and comfort to even more people in need.
